Meet Christa LMT
Growing up in the San Juan mountains of Colorado Christa found the massage world early on. She suffered from migraines and massage was one of the only things that helped relieve the pain. After years of working in the environmental nonprofit world, massage kept calling. Soon she enrolled in The Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado in 2015. After 900+ hours and a series of different modalities, she found that clinical work along with relaxation techniques was the perfect blend to help her clients. She is focused on helping clients find balance in their body, discovering pain patterns and how to best reset the body to its greatest function.
Christa has found her passion in helping women in their specific needs throughout their life stages, and is constantly learning new ways to help women during pregnancy. She started training with Spinning Babies ® and CAPPA to become a Childbirth Educator, in hopes to continue to find ways to help birthing people and their families. Christa loves bringing her techniques into the clinical massage setting and supporting her clients to find their path to healing.
Christa and her family recently moved to Ames from Colorado and is finding Ames to be a great space for continuing her work. Earlier in 2022 she completed CST1 (CranioSacral 1) training and will be continuing her journey with the Upledger Institute.
